This auction is for a UK first press of In The Court Of The Crimson King by King Crimson (see below for specific details). 

This is one of a number of rare or collectable vinyl records we are auctioning, or selling at a fixed price, on an ongoing basis.

Each of our auctions involves a realistic starting price and no reserve, in order to keep the transaction entirely transparent.

Territory of origin/year of release: UK, 1969

Overall condition: EX+

Sleeve: EX to EX+ with some occasional light wear to the spine and seams but no major creases or blemishes. The matt gatefold is in generally fine shape.

Vinyl: EX to EX+ with an occasional very light mark but no major faults or deep scratches.

Label: EX with some light spindle wear.

Inners/inserts: White polylined sleeve, believed to be the original, in EX condition.

Matrix numbers:  Side 1: ILPS 9111 A2 12 25
                                 Side 2: ILPS 9111 B4 11 11

General notes: This is the fabled UK pink Island first pressing of what has become one of the most sought-after of all progressive rock recordings. It is a superbly-presented copy of a record whose value has been steadily increasing (see Popsike.com for evidence of its recent appearances on the market in this kind of condition).
