Description
Released by Island in 1969, cat # ILPS 9111; this is “In The Court of the Crimson King” by King Crimson.
This copy comes on the first pressing pink labels. Codes on the dead wax are A2 / B4.
The E.J Day gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. There is a tiny bit of writing on the rear of the sleeve (pictured) in the top right corner. The spine has a little bit of wear, but is legible. The seams are free of splits and inside the gatefold the sleeve is the cleanest I’ve seen in ages!
The record is in very good condition. There are some light hairlines and one very noticeable surface mark across most of “Moonchild”……however, having given the record several test plays I cannot detect any deterioration in sound quality due to the surface mark. In fact, “Moonchild” plays without and clicks or pops, which in itself is unusual! There is a bit of background crackle in places, but nothing untoward. I’d suggest that with a professional clean, the record will play even better than it is at present as it is not overly worn and has clearly been well taken care of.
The record comes in a plain white, patent pending, inner sleeve.
Postage and packing will be £3.49 for First Class (recorded) or £6.70 Special Delivery for UK customers, depending on the value of the consignment. European customers will pay £5.96 airmail or £10.21 for registered delivery (signed for), depending on the value of the consignment; and USA and the Rest of the World customers will pay £7.09 airmail or £11.34 for Registered delivery (signed for) depending on the value of the consignment.
Payment by Paypal is preferred and is the only option for overseas customers. UK customers can pay by traditional means if required. Payment is required within three days of the end of the auction.
All of my records are packed properly and securely to ensure they arrive with you in the same condition they leave me. Records are removed from inner sleeves before packing to avoid seam splits and all items are placed within a polythene sleeve for protection.
