KING CRIMSON - 'IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING'
This barely played, superb sounding UK pressing of their 1969 debut album is on the Polydor pressed smooth pink 'i' Island Records label: ILPS-9111
Matrix numbers: ILPS 9111 A2 & ILPS 9111 B//4
Vinyl weight: 134g
The disc is housed within an unlaminated 'Ernest J. Day' printed gatefold cover.
Complete with an original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A pristine, unblemished pair with no noticeable spindle trails or wear to either centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 100% MINT & unmarked in strong daylight - not a scratch, scuff or surface marks or any description anywhere. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this outstanding copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: NEAR MINT
Flawless and completely unworn audio from this barely, if ever played copy. My single careful play-check at volume could find no traces of groove/play wear or any background noise or interference, even on the quietest passages. The only distraction which caught my ear were 3 dull pops on track 2 of side 2 which on close inspection were caused by tiny bump in the vinyl material itself. Apart form that minor blemish, there really is nothing else to spoil the listening on this wonderful sounding example which will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT
An extremely clean & unworn example which retains a vibrant unfaded front panel where the only blemish is a 1.5cm line of missing paper in the lower right corner and a few spots, origin unknown. There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower right corner but all are sharp, square and un-bumped and all opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged. The rear panel is unworn & flawless, as is the inside of the gatefold. The spine is unworn and all the text is complete and undamaged. All seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with just a few faint storage wrinkles, but no writing, seam splits or tears
