King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King ILPS 9111

Matrices  ILPS 9111 A2/B4

The record is in good condition. It is flat clean and  shiny. There are a few light marks that can be heard very faintly in the run ins and quiet passages in the form of a light crackle. Unfortunately there is some distortion at the start of Moonchild and a single jump in 21st Century Schitzoid Man. You can't see the actual scratch, but a previous owner has tried to fix the jump by rubbing it causing a scuff like mark. It is a shame as the rest of the lp plays very well indeed and looks at least very good.

The cover is in good condition. It has a fair amount of wear to the edges and spine including a 1/2 cm tear to the opening. A previous owner has sealed the edges with Sellotape which has been removed and that has left a residue and a small surface tear.

The labels are in very good condition. They are the pink Island variation indicating a first pressing. There are a number of spindle marks and a little wear to the hole indicating a fair few plays. Other than that there are no discernible defects.

If you are looking for a mint copy of this lp then this is not for you. It is, however, a very enjoyable listen even with the two faults described above.
