Way back in the day, my college roommate and I were thinking "Yeah, we want to get into radio and become DJ's and play metal 24/7" (We later learned that DJ's didn't make jack as far as money! And Radio and metal as we knew it were dying! Anyway, we did an internship and took a class that basically had us hanging out at the station and screw around.
As metal started dying, you couldn't give away metal LP's, as they were moving to CD's. We were able to load up on a ton of old promo stamp LP's and classic LP's they no longer wanted.
King Diamond was still pretty unknown in the US and his first solo album "Fatal Portrait" had done fairly decent in sales. Metallica was taking off and they had mentioned Mercyful Fate as an influence. King was doing OK, but the majority of people had know clue about him. Well, our station was going to help promote a local show. We were going to do giveaways, interviews and have a meet and greet. King was on Roadrunner records, and they couldn't get us any real promotional items. They sent us out to all the local record shows to purchase any and all CD's/LP's. Roadrunner finally shipped us a box of albums from Japan??? It was easier to ship from there, then get anything locally. Yeah, this whole thing was a cluster from the start! I can't remember what album he was actually touring for? They sent us a box of all his stuff. Maybe he was touring for Abigail? I just remember I thought this cover was cooler that Fatal Portrait, and all the Fate stuff...well that was just a big turnoff for me too.
King showed up to autograph some stuff and yeah, everybody started freaking out. They did a pre-recorded interview with him, and it was like the old movie "Airplane". There was a fan in the background, and somebody threw a pile of crap at it! The saw all the devil crap and started getting really freaked out. Then everybody that had anything to do with the show was getting freaked out. They wanted to cancel the show and wanted to get rid of anything related to KD. Street preachers and such started crawling all over the radio stations butt and protesting.
Everything was pretty much trashed and the station canceled the promotion. My buddy and I snatched an album and CD each. The rest was thrown away. We listened to the CD's and yeah it was different, but I just wasn't a fan. I had actually forgotten about this album in my collection. I'm leaning out my LP collection, as I have around 5000+. I never listened to the vinyl, and pretty sure it's never been played! (I don't think we ever listened to it back in the day). I'm simply amazed I kept this thing, as here again, I'm just not a fan of KD.
Anyway, it is a Japanese pressed LP. The insert is the band giving you the finger, with all the lyrics in Japanese. There was some little sticker on the front top right corner. A little residue, but can be cleaned off. Other than that, there looks to be no wear or flaws on the cover. The vinyl is very thick with high gloss. I've taken as many relevant pictures that I can think would be worth while! You can see the label, the front and back...the vinyl and insert and a close up of the signature written in gold. King did an upside down cross on each side of his name (yeah, i wonder why his show never happened??) He wrote "Stay Heavy" and some little symbol or something another.

Now for all the other stuff. I don't care what it says below, but P/H in the US is $5!!!!
Normally I will not consider shipping internationally! The only way I will do it, is if you pay for Global Priority w/ tracking # (about $40 US) Sorry, but that is the ONLY way!!!! PayPal requires a tracking # on all shipments! That and it seems that more and more that many foreign bidders are up to no good. Places like Korea, Vietnam, Russia and etc...don't even bother bidding!
It is up to the buyer, but depending on what the final price is, you might want to ask for insurance!
