Very Uncommon Recording with Extremely Rare Original Sleeve.
King George V opening speech at the Five Power Naval Conference.
Recorded from the Royal Gallery in the House of Lords, January 21, 1930.
The record is in excellent condition, some minute tears to the edge of the label on the B-side, as well as some around the spindle hole. There are also some light scratches to the royal design on the B-side. The record itself, although uncommon but not rare, is in excellent condition.
What makes this extremely unusual is that it has its original sleeve: extremely rare and hardly-ever seen, in very good+ condition. Some creases and small tears along the edges, but overall in great shape.
This was part of a large collection I was given by a long-time serious collector.
I'm selling it, as historical speeches are not an interest of mine and I need the shelf space!
Shipping:
Having dealt with 78s for many years, I tend to overpack, wrapping the disc in stiff board, then bubble wrap/air pocket wrap, then insulating in if necessary in an inner box, placed in an outer box. So far: no breakages!
