(Columbia SAX 2437 UK LP 1962)
This is an original UK Stereo pressing in great overall condition! It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve which has a mid sized "Stereo" on the front. It comes with its original polythene-lined generic "EMI" company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has turquoise blue & silver "Columbia" labels. It has YAX 855-3 and YAX 856-3 matrix numbers.
This is a genuine UK original blue & silver label "SAX" pressing of this rare UK Stereo Classical LP. In great overall condition too. I have some other rare UK Classical LP's for sale too. So please see my other listings. Don't miss out!
Sleeve: There is some more moderate rubbing wear to the top corner tip at the spine. There is light, mild or very minor rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is some light fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not that noticeable. The spine is very nice & clean overall. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear on the front on some areas. This is not too noticeable. Very Good++ condition.
Vinyl: There are a very few light or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. EXCELLENT condition. The labels are in Mint condition and show no spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There is a very small tear at the die-cut centre area on one side. There are no seam splits.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety. Side 1 plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall, & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle at the start of Side 1. This eases out quite quickly. Otherwise, there is light, very mild or very minor crackle in a few places. Side 2 plays Excellent to Excellent+ overall. There is minimal crackle.
This is a very reasonable audio copy. However, this LP would definitely benefit from a deep down groove clean in a professional record cleaning machine. Visually the disc looks in Excellent to Excellent+ condition. Therefore, any crackle is just due to microscopic deep down dirt in the grooves. It would, I believe, be a Near Perfect to Perfect audio copy after a professional clean. It would remove any crackle.

MINT Condition = As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!

Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too)

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7". I use a cruciform box for larger orders (4-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 2-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...Sorry, I only accept Paypal, or money sent in a registered letter from overseas buyers.
