Kool and the Gang Kool and the Gang Live at P.J.'s (1969) De-Lite Records (DE-2010) Promo copy VINYL is Near Mint. Back in Scranton in either 1975 or 1976, I won a large box of records (and some other items) in an on air radio contest. This Kool and the Gang album was one of the records. For the few years it was in the radio station's library, it seemed as though it was not played, or hardly played. I added it to my collection, which was much smaller back then. I have since 'never' played this wonderful piece of vinyl. Under a bright lamp, I spot a tiny, hair-like sleeve scuff toward the end of the first track of side two. I also spot two or three in the side's 'dead wax area', at the album's end. All of these are very faint. There are no scratches. The nostalgic De-Lite labels are pristine. Checking the labels out under the same lamp, I cannot see any 'skid marks' from use. Normally this is easy to spot, especially when the label is black or gray. Both sides have brilliant shines. Clean. COVER is Very Good+. It remains 'tight'. The front and back (same image) still has a gloss. The white Promo sticker is seen on the front cover, as pictured above. No split seams. Clean spine. It shows some ring wear on both front and back. It also has some light surface scuffs and some edge wear. The gate-fold cover opens to a clean and glossy interior. A funky classic. Recorded live in Hollywood on May 29th, 1971. Rare, clean vinyl.
