CONDITION

Sleeve: Excellent

The original unlaminated matt sleeve has only very light wear and is graded in EXCELLENT condition. There is a little minor ringwear from storage and a few tiny creases near the spine and edges, nothing serious. There are absolutely NO rips, NO tears and NO unwanted writing on the sleeve. A fine example of this beautiful vintage 1970's sleeve which features superb artwork by Judith Beake.

Clean labels with NO marks NO unwanted writing and only a very few feint spindle traces.

Vinyl: Excellent

The thick heavyweight vinyl still retains its original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. The audio is CRYSTAL CLEAR, STRONG and VIBRANT - A BEAUTIFUL LP. There are NO jumps, NO sticks, NO deep scratches and only a couple of feint wispy hairlines visible under a strong light. There is some minor light surface noise on the run-ins and in a couple of other places. Nothing too major and certainly nothing which I found too intrusive on play-grading this FABULOUS LP. The album plays to a high standard with superb audio clarity , NO discernible groove-wear and NO distortion (it has seen very little play in the 30 + years I have owned it) and must be graded at least EXCELLENT. A superb original pressing of this very rare and great UK 70's album.

Here we have a very rare, original 1975 UK Bradleys (BRADL 1007) FIRST (and only) PRESSING of LANZON & HUSBAND'S (one and only) LP "NOSTALGIA" recorded at Olympic Sound Studios, between September '72 and October '74.

 A lost classic on the obscure UK Bradleys label issued in 1975 by Simon Lanzon & Barry Husband , who previously featured in the Donovan band Open Road and other obscure bands in the distant past. Here they are helped out by numerous musical luminaries, including Tony Reeves, Shawn Phillips and Steve Ashley , on a fabulous gem of an album that reminds one of the McDonald & Giles album with an eclectic infusion of Syd Barrett, Incredible String Band and Donovan.  This rare album is choc-full of great songs that have beautiful melodies, exceptional vocal harmonies by the duo and top rate playing.  A wonderful mix of  evocative electric folk-rock, rural rock, sweet pop, heavier songs with psychy guitar flashes, lovely keyboard playing and great sitar by Shawn Phillips on the track 'Westminster Bridge'. A truly excellent progressive electric folk rock album, with prog and psych elements, typical 70's British feel, great vocals and ace songwriting. A fabulous album which doesn't turn up too often these days and is extremely hard to find!!

The LP is pressed on quality thick heavyweight vinyl with Silver, Red & White Bradleys labels. The album comes housed in it's original matt sleeve complete with superb Judith Beake artwork.

An excellent condition copy of this rare album, a 'lost classic' indeed, and one that is very difficult to locate.

Records Are Graded In The Following Way:

MINT (M): The record displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

+ or - : Indicates slightly better (+) or slightly lesser (-) condition than main grade

Packing Procedures: All 12" / LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction.
