Rare private pressing
Who are Barry Husband and Simon Lanzon? They are not lost in time, they are not obscure minstrels and they are not unknown. The duo was in Open Road, the band that has recorded Windy Daze on the Greenwich label in 1971 (for remember, Mike Thomson, Mike O'Neil and John Carr played with Donovan in 1970, for the Open Road album). Nostalgia's cover art is very misleading. Only one tune has a medieval sound (Wild and Rain with an almost Gregorian chant). Otherwise, what we get is a complex and very good mix of pop, prog and heavy rock. Nostalgia was recorded between September 1972 and October 1974 and issued as a private pressing on Bradley's Records in 1974). Should be more well-known.
