LAURENCE VANAY GALAXIES ORIGINAL FRENCH AVANTGARDE PROGRESSIVE LP 1974 SFP 34024. This is the original release of this cult record. Here is a very good copy, despite a few minor age related problems. Please look closely at the pictures below and do not hesitate to ask questions.
Laurence Vanay is the pseudonym for Jacqueline Thibault, wife of music producer and musician Laurent Thibault (ex-MAGMA). Her debut album is entitled “Galaxies” released in 1974, a very rare item indeed and a Holy Grail for most collectors of 70's underground French progressive.
In 1972 Jacqueline Thibault signed. a 45 T. record with VOGUE under the name of «Nanajo». The manager disappeared with the record and the group couldn’t go on because of the exclusive contract signed for 3 years... The pseudonym LAURENCE VANAY was decided by the SACEM for her first 33 T. record registration “GALAXIES” which came out in 1974 in SFP (Ref 3424 SFP) directed by Michel BACHELET...
Record: Very light surface scratches on both faces producing a very very light crackle that does not affect the integrity of the piece.
Two stickers: a green dot on the front cover and a price sticker on the back.
