ADDITIONAL INFO:   Eloise Laws (born November 6, 1943) is a singer and a member of the prominent Laws family of musicians from Houston, Texas.

Lavern Eloise Laws was born in Houston, Texas as the fourth of eight children of Miola Luverta Donahue and Hubert Laws, Sr. Born into a family of musicians, her siblings include flutist Hubert, saxophonist Ronnie, and vocalist Debra.

In the 1970s, she began recording for Holland-Dozier-Holland's Music Merchant and later Invictus labels. Her first album, Ain't It Good Feeling Good was released on Invictus in 1977. Unfortunately, the labels folded and Laws released the LP Eloise (ABC) later the same year and Eloise Laws (Liberty) in 1980, both of which featured the songwriting and producing talents of Linda Creed.

After All in Time, for Capitol, followed two years later, Laws was featured on albums from such artists as Harvey Mason, Lee Oskar, Aquarian Dream, Ahmad Jamal, as well as several releases by her siblings. She would not record another solo album until the late 1990s. Packaging :

I take great care during packaging and do each one personally. I use hand cut cardboard, which I get from a trucking company. (It's so thick that you will save it and use it again.) Each piece is 1/4 inch thick and together they are very stronge. I always remove the record from the picture sleeve and ship them inside a clear plastic record sleeve. All packages are marked in red : "Fragile Sticker" on one side and "Do Not Bend" on other both side.

Postage :

You have to pay for the postage.   This record will weigh 6 ounces when ready to ship. US winners can figure out your own postage costs for US First Class or Media Mail with tracking. I will send it through USPS and you will get an email with the tracking number. Overseas winners will get it sent by First Class Mail International. (Buyers from Brazil, France will assume all risks for shipping to your country.) I will send your record as soon as you pay. (same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM, Monday thru Friday) I will combine postage if you win more than one record. Please wait for my invoice for all of your winnings in one package. ANY EXTRA FEES lNCLUDING CUSTOM FEES WILL BE PAID BY BUYER

EXCELLENT  (EX) May have fine paper scuff other than look flawless 

VG++ Denotes tiny VISUAL flaw or paper scuff(s) that is cosmetic, or minor markings that cannot be heard

G "Good" Disc has lots of wear, and serious visual abrasions. It should play through without skipping (unless otherwise noted). Condition is generally rough, but is good enough to serve as a "filler" copy until something better comes along. Only the rarest of records will be listed in this condition.

All other defects, such as cut-out holes (CO), stickers and/or writing on the label (SOL / WOL) and warping (wrp) are noted as listed here.

PAYMENTS:

U.S.: Paypal is preferred. Personal checks will have to clear before I ship the item(s). You may also contact me before the end of the auction about other options.

Outside of the U.S.: Paypal is much preferred, but you may contact me before the end of the auction to discuss other options.

SHIPPING:

If you win multiple items, please wait for or request an invoice with combined shipping.

In the U.S., packages may be sent via Media, First Class, or Priority mail. If you desire any other options, such as Insurance, Registered, Expedited shipping, etc., tell me upon receipt of your winning bid notice, and I will total up the cost (with these additional fees).

If you live anywhere outside of the U.S.: Packages are normally sent via first class airmail.

I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
