Well, what can I say about this? It belongs close to Barney Wilen's Auto Jazz, but Michel Legrand's score is just that more gentle, pastoral even. EEeeeeeOOooowwwwwwww.....ssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. First issue, Japanese pressed, Sony/CBS, SOPM-87 from 1971, gatefold jacket, stuck in booklet, why am I selling this? Must be nuts. Even the UK issue is as rare as rare. The movie was panned - who bothered with the OST? Unlaminated gatefold jacket, LP, all fine NM condition. The movie may have been a bore but the music is absolutely sublime. One of Legrand's finest moments. Don't forget he also wrote the score for The Thomas Crown Affair, a superior film but an equally magnificent soundtrack. McQueen was no schmuck.
