This album originally released on the Decca label in 1971 has become the holy grail for many record collectors over the years. Leaf Hound emerged from the ashes of Black Cat Bones with a line up of Peter French (Vocals), Mick Halls (Guitars), Stuart Brooks (Bass) and Keith Young (Drums).

Unfortunately after touring with a young UFO in Germany, Leaf Hound dissolved after becoming disillusioned with promoting an album that was still yet to be released. Decca posthumously released the album in 1971 to great reviews but with no band longer in existence it didn't capture the public's awareness and only a few copies were sold.

Over the years the album has received recognition for inspiring the whole stoner rock movement. Record Collector magazine last listed it as one of the top 40 most collectible records in the world with original copies reaching the four digits figures.

The value of this masterpiece just keeps going up and up and finding a copy in mint condition is almost an impossibility these days. 

Peter French would go on to sing with Atomic Rooster on the album 'In The Hearing Of...' and on Cactus' 'Ot & Sweaty'. A new line-up of Leaf Hound featuring French was formed in 2006 and continue to perform today.
