LED ZEPPELIN 1 UK 1st Press A1/B1 CORRECTED '8' MATRIX

Description

Detailed seller ratings:

Item as described: I list everything possible about this item, please read everything thoroughly and view ALL of the photographs. Please do not bid if you expect something different from the listing.

Communication: I will answer any sensible query quickly and politely, but please read the listing thoroughly first. I email the winner to thank them for the bid and to advise them of the likely dispatch date (usually within 24 hours of receiving payment). I email again to confirm dispatch and provide tracking number.

Dispatch time: I dispatch within 24 hours of cleared funds, sometimes even the same day if the payment is received early enough and I am able to get to the post office in time. After that, it's down to the Royal Mail and whichever international mail service is involved - all of which is out of my control.

Postage and packing costs: It generally costs me more than I charge for shipping by the time I add in my mailers, stiffeners, shipping labels, printer ink, packing tape, fragile labels, petrol to the post office...so I do not overcharge on my shipping costs in any way.

Feedback: I would appreciate your feedback after the sale and you have received your item and are happy with it. This means I can then leave feedback for you and our transaction is closed.

FULLY PLAY GRADED VINYL - FROM START TO FINISH - SURPRISINGLY GOOD PLAYBACK! READ THE FULL, DETAILED DESCRIPTION.

PLAYGRADED: not simply glanced at with a superficial visual grading, fully played and graded throughout (listened to on headphones - the most revealing playgrade method, with no exterior audio distractions)

VINYL:

5 8 8 1 7 1  A // 1      1    2   2  1

5 8 8 1 7 1  B // 1      1    0  1

A well-played copy that actually plays better than it looks. There are numerous hairline/paper handling marks/scuffs/very fine scratches and some fine superficial scratches but thankfully they have little effect on the audio playback.

Side One: audio is consistently VG+ if not a little better on the louder tracks. There is persistent light background crackle on the run ins and in between tracks, only audible in the songs themselves in the intro to "Good Times Bad Times" in the instrumental stabs at the start. It's also audible during the quieter sections of "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You". Light background crackle audible in the quietest sections of "Dazed And Confused". Superb tone and volume throughout on this very first UK pressing.

Side Two: Moderate crackle and the occasional light pop over the keyboard intro to "Your Time Is Gonna Come" but again, once the guitars, bass and drums kick in, it mostly disappears to the background. The rest of the side plays through nicely with light background crackle (audible on quietest sections only). Overall I would grade the audio a surprisingly VG to VG+, which is pretty remarkable I think given the visual condition on first inspection....

Plays right through with no jumps or sticks NO Loud Pops, NO repetitive clicks.

OUTER SLEEVE:

Original MacNeill Press Ltd laminated sleeve in very good condition. One of the better ones I've seen with no rips, no seam splits, no graffiti, no edge or spine wear. Perfectly legible spine, not too flattened. Has the usual light creases in the laminate. Not much ringwear visible. Not too bad at all!

LABELS:

Excellent, NO graffiti, quite a few spindle traces visible, but still very nice condition!

INNER SLEEVE:

Original plain white poly lined sleeve with the blue printed "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS" warning, "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "British Patent No." - in very good condition with no seam splits, intact poly liner, just has the word 'Taste' written on it...

Thanks for taking the time. Good luck in the auction.
