Description
1st Pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut.
Turquoise Lettering

Superhype Credit and error with Track 3 on Side 1 given 2 publishing credits and Track 2 not given any.
Uncrossed 8s in Matrix
Track 5 of Side 2 listed on label and sleeve as being 3.30 in duration rather than 8 mins!
Original plain inner with British Patent 800513 & 973939 printed
Condition
This is NOT Mint.
The record has a lot of surface marks and a couple of small feelable scratches. I have cleaned it on a Pro-Ject vacuum style cleaning machine and play tested it on my Pro-Ject turntable. It plays without sticks or jumps but is crackly throughout, although this is more intrusive in some areas than others. I have photographed the vinyl with the help of Halogen lighting so the pictures are as unflattering as I could make them!
Please read the following guide:
Side One
T1 - Crackle on run in. Plays through smoothly but with crackle in background. No jumps or sticks
T2 - Intro is crackly in background. Crackle present throughout, more intrusive in quieter sections. No jumps or sticks
T3 - Again persistent crackle in background. No jumps or sticks
T4- As per Track 3
Side 2
T1 - Crackles on quiet intro. Fairly intrusive. Persists once the music kicks in but masked a little by the music. A few pops but no
jumps or sticks.
T2 - Crackle present in background. No jumps or sticks
T3 - As per Track 2. I'd crackle less obvious here as music is more thunderous!
T4 - A quieter track. Crackle present but perhaps less intrusive than other areas of the record. No jumps or sticks.
T5 - Crackle in quieter sections but generally masked quite well in the sections where the music is louder. Quieter section nearer the end is quite crackly and Plant's vocals seem to have some distortion. No jumps or sticks.
Summary. Persistent crackle. More intrusive in the quieter sections. A smooth play. No pops or sticks at all. Occasional distortion to some of Plant's more operatic moments!
Sleeve: The outer sleeve is fully intact. There is some creasing to the peripheryand spine areas but is overall a good example.
Inner: There is some creasing to the inner sleeve and whilst the polythene lining to the inner is present, it is a little loose.
I have charged a flat £5 for postage. The item will be sent securely packaged in Defendapak Twist Mailer. It will be sent tracked and insured to it's full selling price. The winning buyer will not be asked to pay any additional postage beyond the stated £5.
Whilst I am very happy to answer questions on this item, I would respectfully ask that you do not request that the auction is ended early. The rarity of this item is understood and given that the condition is not mint, it seems fairest to all to allow the price to be determined by the market.
