1969 SCARCE FIRST U.S.A. PRESSING with Pink and Brown Labels
This is 100 times tougher to find than the U.K. issue and arguably as tough as the promo and advanced label issues
Led Zep One was initially slated to come out on Atlantic labels subsidiary, ATCO ( Clapton / Cream's label ) when the plans were changed to release their first album on Atlantic. Being from the same pressing plant, a few early copies came out with the alternate label ( the colors of ATCO releases ).
These don't turn up that often and are usually roughed up as the first issues got played to death being such a masterpiece of music.
Vinyl has lots of hairline scratches and one deep scratch on the B side. I played the disc through without any skipping.
Labels are nice. This would make a decent filler copy for one's collection without paying the big bucks to say they have this rarity.
