Description
Please, allow me to introduce myself : I’ve not only been a dedicated follower of collecting but a co-owner of second hand record shops, an A&R executive at record companies, a chief editor in music magazines, a radio dj, etc for the last 30 years in Greece! So, a hell of a lot of rare and collectable items such as out-of-print original records, first pressings, special editions, promo samples, white labels, test pressings, magazines, posters, catalogues, memorabilia and other fetish objects of desire in 5, 7, 10 and 12 inches not only from Greece but from all over the world are going to be exhibited through these pages … Turn on and stay tuned!
So, up for auction is a very rare original Greek very 1st vinyl pressing of the Led Zeppelin’s debut album that Helladisc - the, known later as Phonogram, local distributor of Atlantic in those days - belatedly released in 1971 in Greece with Cat No 2400 134, Matrix Nos 2400134 A 2 P 1971 410 X [A side] and 2400134 B P 1971 410 X [B side, both machine - stamped]! With only 500 to about 1000 copies ever pressed on unique text version purple/white/brown ATCO labels that had BIEM publishing credits, they were housed in a single sleeve with laminated front and non-laminated back that carried the “Uptight An’ Outasight” information on the rear sleeve!
Unavailable for almost half a century and very hard to find in any condition this must have item, best suited to a collector of Led Zeppelin memorabilia for filler or display purposes, does not get offered up too often! So, do not miss…

I personally write all of my own descriptions, take all of my own photos, and package all items for mailing myself. Items pictured in any of my listings are always the actual items that buyers will receive from me. Strict packing policies applied : each order is carefully packaged by removing the lp from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of plastic cover sleeves over each lp and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
