Description
LED ZEPPELIN led Zeppelin LP.
ORIGINAL ULTRA RARE UK ALBUM WITH TURQUISE SLEEVE LETTERING!
Released in 1969 on the ATLANTIC record label (Plum label with SUPERHYPE publishing credits), catalogue number 588171.
The record sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition, clean solid and complete, with full glossy laminated front/back sleeve, with no rips, no tears, no major seem splits, no major edge wear, no major corner wear, full visible spine print and no deep sleeve creases.
The sleeve displays some small light surface only sleeve laminate creases mainly around the sleeve outer edges. There is a medium sized laminate crease and a few small laminate creases on and near the record insert edge. The front sleeve laminate has some slight/light dulling in places. The front and back has some raised laminate (bubbling) on/along the spine edges.
The right hand side bottom corner has a small 7mms edge seem spilt/corner wear.
Back sleeve has a few small surface only laminate creases, again mainly around the outer edges, there is a medium sized laminate crease on the bottom left hand corner which runs from the bottom of the sleeve (9cms from the left edge) to the writing just under Jimmy Page, this has followed the outline of the outer record’s edge.
The back sleeve has a slight/light wavy appearance which is on/along the record insert edge and to the left hand side of the album’s sleeve.
Record comes complete with the original paper/poly lined record company sleeve, which is in EXCELLENT condition.
The record labels are in MINT condition, with full clear label print and no label damage.
Spindle holes marks show light to moderate playing on both sides.
Record playing surfaces are EXCELLENT in appearance, and they still retain an original full glossy sheen.
The A-side has one tiny visible surface mark visible at 4 o’clock, which is right at the start of the second track, and a few barely visible ultra light surface scuffmarks which only show up when viewed under a strong bright light.
The B-side has five ultra light surface scuff marks, which are barely visible and only show up when viewed under a strong bright light, and the album is tilted at various degrees.
Both sides of the record have a few small portions of what appears to be groove wear on some tracks, however this is minimal and does not affect the sound at all.
Record play grades mostly EXCELLENT, the record sound displays two clicks/jumps and a few loud clicks at the very start of the quite vocal acoustic part on the beginning of the second track on the A-side.
The rest of the album plays EXCELLENT with no crackles, no more clicks and no more jumps.
The sound does display a few low level background crackle/clicks in places, however these are minimal and only appear infrequently and are not consistent throughout play.
