Description

I will describe this incredibly rare album strictly in keeping with "record collector" magazine gradings. this first pressing was one of the very few that had label mispressing errors that were withdrawn due to copyright infringements. "livin lovin wreck" is credited on side 2 of the vinyl although it states "livin lovin maid" on the inner sleeve. on side 1 "the lemon song" is credited although this was later renamed as "killing floor" in future first pressings. if you are a led zep fan you will appreciate how sought after this album really is and how difficult it was to keep this particular album sleeve in great condition as it was never laminated. i wont use ebay buzz words like stunning, wow, or the like and i am one of these people that regularly buys vinyl on ebay and when it arrives sub standard as they sometimes do you are dissapointed. if the winning bidder is not happy with any of my description when it arrives i will refund you not a problem although i doubt it very much.

sleeve/ the sleeve is very easily in excellent condition with only very minor corner rubbing at the bottom. it has no yellowing whatsoever having been stored in a record box and inside a pvc sleeve. the colours are still very vibrant and the sleeve has some very minor creases due to handling but they really are minor. the spine has very minor wear too and is still very square and rigid.

inner/ the inner has no splits or tears and is still its original white colour since the day it was released with no yellowing whatsoever with patent number 1,125,555 and made in england in either of the bottom corners.

labels/ both labels are near mint with very very few spindle marks that are incredibly hard to spot. catalogue number atlantic 588198 stereo pressing.

vinyl/ the vinyl has great sheen and has always been very well cared for, it grades easily as excellent too with no scratches and it plays through from start to finish with no jumps or skips on either side no problem and has great audio. there are some very very fine wispy marks from cleaning and from basically being taken in and out of sleeve. i reckon from memory this has had no more than about 10 to 12 plays. the matrix numbers are as follows side1 588198bv2 and on side2 588198av2 but you dont really need matrix numbers when the miscredits actually declare this the very first pressing, its rumoured that less than 700 of these exist but i cannot confirm this. so all in all a great condition uk pressing of album and sleeve with no reserve and it will be posted royal mail next day signed for at a cost in the uk of £6. GOOD LUCK BIDDING..............
