Description

Purple and Brown Led Zeppelin I 1969 U.S. Presswell labels but supposedly pressed in Indianapolis for Record Club of America Inc.
SUPER RARE 1st edition of this iconic album with very rare label variations that only appeared rarely for this title.
Released in 1969 on Atlantic Records SD 8216 featuring sticker on back cover indicating "Manufactured Under License Issued By Atlantic Recording Corporation to Record Club of America Inc."
This version apparently has a different and unique mix especially on Side two from all other releases of this record.

Notes from Discogs:

This label is rare and only appeared on a few titles from around 8130 to 8200. The Led Zeppelin album error commands premium prices, since not only is the label in error, but side 1 of the album is a different mix from the regular pressing.

Also side 2 does sound a little different from the standard issue. There is a long pause between "Black Mountain Side" and "Communication Breakdown", where the standard issue had no silence at all. And there is an unusually long silence between "Communication Breakdown" and "I Can't Quit You Baby", much longer than was on the standard issue.

The running time for B5, "How Many More Times" is listed on the back cover as 3:30, but actually plays 8:30.
VINYL in VG++ condition. Very clean and excellent sound! Only a few super light paper scuffs, looks to have been rarely played.
COVER in VG+ condition with some staining/yellowing, corner bumps, chipping on seams though all seams are intact and no splits. Spine is solid and fully readable. Sticker on back cover reads:  "Manufactured Under License Issued By Atlantic Recording Corporation to Record Club of America Inc."
INNER SLEEVE in VG condition with two seams split halfway through, yellowing.
