Widely regarded as the “hot mix” of Zep I, this George Piros cut with AT/GP etched on both sides with the narrow deadwax is the one to have for the best dynamic and punchy sound. I have owned for 10 years and spun maybe 3 times and the pressing lives up to the hype. Feels like Plant is in the room during Babe I’m Going To Leave You, almost a “3D” sound experience. You will definitely enjoy this record.
Sleeve is VG+ if being picky and Record is entry VG++, playback is VG+ to VG++, very enjoyable listening experience. Securely shipped in new record mailer…….

Absolutely otherworldly sounding record! Wide sound stage, great separation of instruments, vivid detail, and omg John Paul Jones’ bass is so powerful. Bonham’s drums are thunderous, Page’s guitar is heavenly and Roberts vocals are as if he’s in the room with you. Listening to this is an Experience! You feel like you just walked out of a Zeppelin concert when it’s over! If you can get your hands on one of these, you will never want to hear another pressing of this album. I had a 1977 -AR press that I always thought sounded good enough. But I’m giving that copy to a friend, cuz this press is all anyone would need. I never knew the album could sound this good!
UPDATE: I am Lucky enough to have obtained a VG++ (excellent) copy of Zeppelin 2 Robert Ludwig Hot Mix SS both sides. After cleaning it 3x in my record cleaning machine, it’s basically Near Mint. This Piros pressing of Zeppelin 1 Beats it! I’ve listened to both a hundred times and I’ve Finally come to that obvious conclusion. This press should be Just as valuable as a RL SS Hot Mix! Because, as sacrilege as it may be… This simply has Just a bit more detail and reality than the RL. Just sayin… After going thru Several clean OG/Early copies, THIS exact press beats them ALL! No Contest. And I feel lucky to own a Near Mint. I’m listening on a fairly modest but Nice system: Marantz 2245 receiver (fully restored), Fluance RT-85 turntable (Ortofon 2m Blue cart), Fluance XL8F towers with a Fluance DB12 subwoofer.
