Description
LED ZEPPELIN II ORIGINAL 1969 RED/PLUM588198 GOOD CONDITION. ( Baldwin credits on side 1 ) Condition is used.
The vinyl is in good condition for its age it has some scratches but does not affect play , but as quoted in VG condition it has surface noise on the intros and fades and some of the quiet passages .
It lies between a VG and a GOOD + and for this reason I have downgraded it to a GOOD+ and reflected this in the price for this very prized album.
The sleeve is in good condition again for being over 50 years old. ( See Photographs)
My 50-year-oldRecord Collection needs a new home.
All vinyl records have been inspected, cleaned and played on an Acoustic Research turntable.
Below is how I have graded them taking some of the relevant points from various record sites.
MINT: In order for a mint record to be considered mint it cannot ever be played, therefore, a mint record cannot be play graded.
NEAR MINT and+ A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects are of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback. In theory, a VG+ record should sound the same as a Near Mint (NM)one. Vinyl surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect listening.
VG: Many of the defects found in a Very Good Plus record will be more pronounced in a Very Good item. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
GOOD: GOOD + A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail)that will affect the sound.
