Description
LED ZEPPELIN III (with wheel) 1970 PLUM/ORANGE LABELS 1ST PRESS LP
RECORDED 1970
This is the original earliest 1st press by Zeppelin LP with Plum labels. This is very hard to find as the labels are very different from the usual 1st presses as it's the EARLIEST 1st press of this album. Lets have a look at what makes it so special. Everyone knows the plum/orange label shows a 1st press but it doesn't show that it is a very 1st press of the album. An original earliest 1st press should contain the following (which this lp has) 1 - Executive producer Peter Grant on the label, 2. - 2410002 catalogue number has no gaps or hyphens. 3. - The central white band is parallel. 4. - Publishing credits 'Warner Bros.music LTD' 5. Matrices A5/B5. 6. "Do what thou wilt" and "So mote it be" Crowley quotes etched into the deadwax. A true 1st press should have all of these things. This LP has all of those things, it is a piece of music history!.
Matrixes: A/5 / B/5

CONDITION
The condition of the album follows the record collectors guidebook standards of 2014.
VINYL : Side A - EX+ - NEAR MINT / Side B - VG+
The album has been listened to and checked by myself and plays superbly. There is some surface noise between tracks but no pops, clicks or noises during songs. This Lp is in superb condition, side A is pretty much NR mint with no noticeable surface marks that can be seen with the human eye. Side B has one hairline scratch (5cm)(see photos) but thankfully this does not in any way affect the sound at all! The scratch is a one off and cannot be felt on the record with your finger.Apart from this side B is EX with very few hairline scratches at all.
The record has a sheen to it like it was made yesterday.
This is an album which has obviously been respected and hardly ever played.
COVER : EX+-
Wow! This has been looked after very well indeed. I've had another record collector take a look at it and we both agree it's in Ex-Ex+ condition with some very minor edge wear. Spine is superb and all round it's just beautiful to behold. See photos for a clear view of condition and details.
The spine is good but has some wear to it.
