This terrific album is in great condition. The vinyl shines absolutely beautifully and has just a few light hairlines.
An absolutely stunning quality vinyl not very often seen for Zep records in general but esp. the earliest Plum/red labels.
Matrices A5 B7 with the earliest stampers and "DO WHAT THOU WILT" and "SO MOTE IT BE" etched into the dead wax.

'Following the staggering reunion triumph at the O2, which I was lucky enough to be at, interest in Led Zeppelin has become greater than ever, with the site for the Ahmettribute.com tribute concert receiving an unbelievable 120 million hits, with 25 million people apparently registering for a Zeppelin ticket, its as good a time as any to invest in an original copy early press of this classic Zep album.
Vinyl: VG+ . Great heavy original Plum/Red UK press vinyl. A beautiful heavy glossy platter with a super sheen. There are a couple of light hairlines but they do not have an impact on the audio which is wonderfully strong. I subjected the record to a detailed listen on my high end system and it did not disappoint. This sounded better than any re-issue like only an original press can. Lovely channel separation without any distortion. Some light static at times mainly confined to quieter sections of which there are not many. A bit of a museum piece really. Needless to say, NO jumps, NO clicks, NO sticks etc..
Gatefold sleeve: EX . A great gatefold sleeve for this first UK press version with a fully functional spinning wheel. This is a very hard sleeve to find in such great condition as many owners did not look after their albums properly. This copy is not only well preserved and has been carefully stored as all other albums from this wonderful prog collection. The colours are rich and the spine is 100% legible. The edges are beautiful unworn and the opening is super crisp. On the inside some yellowing towards the top left. Light under laminate creasing near the top front. NO tears at all and an upgrade for many! More from this wonderful collection will be listed in the near future. A museum piece that will be even more appreciated once seen in the flesh!
