IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR
COMPLETE ! - BROWN PAPER BAG OUTER - ORIGINAL INNER
1st UK ISSUE - 1979 - ALL IN STUNNING CONDITION
Matrix Nos: SSK 59410 A5 and SSK 59410 B4
Condition of cover/inner/record: Mint-/Mint-/Mint- (Grading as used by Record Collector)
This was issued in 6 different covers (A-F) showing the same bar scene from different angles. They were sold in brown paper bags so that you didn't know which cover you were buying! The paper bags are quite rare now as they were usually torn off and thrown away. This copy has letter "E" on the spine.
The brown paper bags are usually found very damaged or just not there at all - this one is in excellent condition and is the original UK issue with feint stripes, only the first pressings feature this - very rare! No writing, no tears, no stains... EX+/MINT-
The cover is also in excellent condition, clean, unlaminated satin finish. No rubbing to the edges with only a tiny touch of wear at the corners - hardly noticible. The spine is strong and sharp with no marks at all. Great condition for the age and grades a STRONG EX+/M-
The inner sleeve is the original black and white one. This was made with a "Magic Paint" paper which reveals the colours when wiped with a damp cloth. This one has NOT been coloured, just one tiny spot of colour can be seen. It states "PRINTED AND MADE IN ENGLAND", showing it to be a true first UK pressing - all reissues were made in Germany or the USA. It's in pristine condition and grades EX+/MINT-
The two matt SWANSONG labels have "Manufactured in UK" on them. This only appears on the very first UK press. All later pressings were made in Germany or the USA. The labels are bright, vivid and clean and new looking. The vinyl is stunning - bright, clean and glossy. It looks brand new and factory fresh - amazing shine and only a couple of very light wispy marks. The sound is simply amazing!!! There are no crackles, no clicks, pops or background/surface noise. The record plays excellently, producing a beautiful warm tone with clarity, great definition and warmth, and a lot of punch! MINT-
All in all, a superb example of this increasingly rare Rock n Roll masterpiece!
