Feel free to ask any questions. However, the information below should include the answers to most questions about costs, payment, shipment etc, and detailed information about the item, so please read the listing carefully and look at the photograph(s) before sending a question or placing a bid.
Please also read the information lower in the listing about postal insurance. If you are the winning bidder and do not want postal insurance you will need to let me know.
Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been very well cared for. Under 160 watt halogen spotlight just a few very fine, hairline-type marks were visible. I have played the entire album through and there are no jumps or skips anywhere and just a bit of crackle in the quiet bits and a few clicks but nothing which repeats for more than 2 or 3 revolutions other than some very soft swish-type noises audible in the background here and there. None of these are at all intrusive and are only mentioned here for accuracy.
Labels: Both labels look great, pretty much like new, with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and just feint spindle marking when tilted into the light.
Sleeve: The unlaminated sleeve is in stunning condition. It is really nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc. It has a big solid spine which is unworn and fully intact and no ring wear or other issues.
Edge wear: There is a small worn area (2cm) in the centre of the top rear seam, but it is not split.
Corner wear: minimal
Inner sleeve: Original inner sleeve with no credit for Photography to Keith Morris has no splits. It shows just slight tarnishing and signs of age.
Other inserts: n/a
I am an ebay top-rated seller with a 100% feedback rating because my records are always described accurately and fairly. All photographs are of the actual item you will get. I will always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item.
Detracting features not covered above - none.
Unless stated otherwise, vinyl is visually graded. I play grade records where possible but often this will be restricted to records where a visual inspection has identified flaws on the playing surface. A visual grading will identify physical flaws such as scratches and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not detect slight static or crackle caused by dust in the grooves that will sometimes be heard on old vinyl, even if it looks perfect. A visual grading will provide an indication of how a record might play, but it is not a guarantee of the record's sound quality.
Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.
First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and, if this is the case, I will usually identify them as such and may include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, sometimes I cannot be certain whether a record is a first pressing or not. In these instances I will often use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think might be a first pressing, but do not know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.
Feel free to ask any questions about the item (but please don’t leave it to the last minute as I may not get a chance to reply). The following information should include the answers to most questions about costs, payment etc so please read it carefully before sending any questions.
Please only bid if you agree to these terms.
I ACCEPT PAYPAL.
I ACCEPT CHEQUES IN UK STERLING GBP ON ORDERS OVER £50.
If you have not paid or contacted me within three days I reserve the right to offer the item as a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.
Here are my P&P and insurance details:
Insurance: Ebay no longer permits invoices with optional insurance which gave the buyer the choice of whether or not to have the item insured. This means that I now include insurance on all invoices. The cost for insurance will be at the buyer's expense. Outside the UK insurance is an extra £8 to any country. In the UK insurance will be an extra £4, but items valued below £36 can be sent recorded delivery for an additional £1. (Insurance/recorded delivery charges are additional to the P&P costs below and will appear on the invoices as additional seller fees).
If you do not want to pay to have your item insured you must let me know so I can send a new invoice.
If you choose not to insure your item I will send it uninsured but Royal Mail will not reimburse the full value of the item (or any of the postage cost) in the event of a claim for a lost or damaged item.
Customs declaration for overseas orders: Please note that for overseas orders outside the EU I need to complete a customs declaration and must enter the value of the package on the declaration.
