This is a ROBERT LUDWIG HOT MIX copy of LED ZEPPELIN II. Please read the following FULL track by track description of this LP for sale. KILLER COPY!!! Overall SIDE 1: VG++ to VG+++ / SIDE 2: VG+++ (sometimes better almost NM) Side 1 track 1: VG++ to NM track 2: VG++ to VG+++ track 3: VG+ some light clicks for 10revs then plays VG++ track 4: VG++ some slight/light background noise at quiet spots in song. Side 2 track 1: VG++ to VG+++ track 2: VG+++ to NM track 3: VG++ 2 light clicks then plays VG+++ track 4: NM track 5: VG++ to VG+++ MATRIX #S: SIDE 1: ST-A-691671-A LW P(sideways) W AT RL SIDE 2: ST-A- 691672-A LW P(sideways) RL SS W COVER IS A VERY NICE VG++ some bottom shelf wear and corner bends top right and bottom left. INNER SLEEVE ORIGINAL VG++. BOTH LABELS SUPER CLEAN. This is the best copy I have come along in many years. SOUND IS BRILLIANT. Page's guitar is in your face, brain melting. Bass and Drums super clean as is Plant's voice. This copy sounds just as strong as any RL SS/ RL SS copy I have had. So this a true 1st pressing. Some copies have the RL SS on both sides others like this have RL SS only on side 2. With the condition this is in it certainly is a prize copy. As a bonus I am adding in a 7" single copy of IMMIGRATION SONG / HEY HEY WHAT CAN I DO. Any ???s please ask. CANADA POST 16.00 Low opening bid. Thanks for looking. Cheers. I did some homework on this copy and found this info to add hope it helps: US 1st pressing (with the 1841 Broadway address on the labels), featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. We now know this was not the case and that the cartridges back them could not handle the mix itself.
Bottom line : On some copies the Sterling Sound credit, "SS", appears in both runouts following Ludwig's "RL", and on others the "SS" appears only in the Side Two runout. The "RL" will still appear in both runouts.
