Description

  • Led Zeppelin released their second studio album "Led Zeppelin II" in October 1969 on Atlantic Records. The record was a huge success and hit No. 1 in both the U.S. and U.K. charts.  It contains their signature song "Whole Lotta Love" and many critics put it on their best albums of all time list.

  • This copy of (SD 8236) is from the First Pressing more than 50-years-ago and is in excellent condition. It is not the Bob Ludwig "Hot" mastered version that was recalled. The gatefold cover is solid with only minimal shelf wear and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Atlantic Studios in NYC and this copy was pressed by Presswell Records Mfg. Co. in Ancora, N.J. for Record Club Of America. The Side One dead wax is etched ST-A-691671-J AT W.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 52 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
