Description

This is a Lenny Bruce lp from ~ 1958 although it does not mention him by name anywhere on it!  If you look at all the others on sale of this lp they all say Lenny Bruce on the cover.  I think that was added later on to subsequent issues of this lp.  The back of the lp has his name blacked out (this is not just with a sharpee over the print but is actually part of the printing!) and up in the right corner there is a “C” with a circle around it.  I believe this stands for “CENSORED”!  Lenny Bruce was so controversial at the time of this release – really nothing compared to what is put out there today – and Fantasy Records wanted to either capitalize on this fact or they were paranoid......?  The lp was given to me when I was young by an older friend.

 

I believe this lp, “Interviews of our times”, is highly collectible, especially this original version. 

 

The vinyl is red (meaning?)  VG+, the cover VG with a 1 ½” split in upper right corner.
