MONSIEUR CYBER / CHIMERIA ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by LES CHIMERIENNES arrangements and musical direction by JEAN MORLIER production by BILLY NENCIOLI. Original French pressing on the PRINCESS label (645 014), from 1969. Killer French pop masterpiece. Infectious vocal harmony (with slightly surreal lyrics) over psychedelic orchestrations. A delicious mix of groovy yéyé / mod funk / sexy chanson and space age pop. Both sides are fantastic. MONSIEUR CYBER aka Mr Robot was comped on Groove Club Vol 1 - La Confiserie Magique but for us, the CHIMERIA theme is maybe even better :) Big record with certain Japanese DJs. Our soundclip opens with the Mondo Girl / Wizzz! / Swinging Mademoiselle style CHIMERIA club tune, followed by the futuristic MONSIEUR CYBER with male vocal interludes. Superb instrumentation with wah wah guitars / funky drums and basslines / jazz vibes / phased flute / synthesizers et al. Proto space disco artwork sleeve showing this obscure quartet of singers (who can also be seen dancing to cosmic sounds in the film, Poussez Pas Grand-Pere Dans Les Cactus). Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with a few scuffs / hairlines and groove wear ring marks. Light surface noises. A few soft pops in places. The card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with old shop sticker / light corner wear and some ring dirt marks to back sleeve. No Languette. Very rare 45!!!
