Lester Bangs & The Delinquents - Jook Savages on the Brazos (Live Wire LW-3), 1981.
The only LP released by Lester Bangs in his lifetime. Bangs, of course, was the Enfant Terrible of rock criticism who authored countless album reviews, articles and interviews for the likes of Rolling Stone, Creem, Village Voice and many other magazines. A true original, Bangs recorded this album in Austin, Texas with the punk group "The Delinquents."
Includes liner notes by the great Nick Tosches, a contemporary of Bangs and a noted author and characer in his own right.
