Description
This is a very rare (the 2nd copy I have ever seen in 27 years !!!) and one of the better in my opinion UK PUNK / POWER POP / MOD / MINIMAL SYNTH / NEW SWAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL compilation entitled "LISTEN TO ME" from 1982 on AIRSHIP RECORDS label, this is the ORIGINAL pressing and the first time I have seen this compilation for sale on Ebay. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
You might know the AIRSHIP label form many of their rare PUNK / POWER POP / MOD / SYNTH / NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL single releases, but this album features many bands that never got to release any other products apart from the tracks on this compilation (they send demos to AIRSHIP RECORDS and got to release a couple of tracks on this compilation, but not a single release !!!), and hence the only chance to get them will be this compilation, and believe me some of them are better then many of the single releases, or many other released singles, THESE TRACKS SHOULD BE COMPED on the KBD / POWERPEARLS or SYNTH MINIMAL compilations.

THE GRASS - STANDING ON THE EDGE OF SUCCESS. - Great 1977 style PUNK ROCK !!!

THE GRASS - ANGEL OF THE LIVING DEAD. - Great PUNK rock sound.
THEIR STORY - HOME FROM HOME. - Good POWER POP sound with SYNTH.
MIRAGE - ALWAYS BE WITH YOU. - PROGRESSIVE ROCK / NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL sound.
MIRAGE - CRAZY WORLD. - NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL sound.
THE FROTTEURS - TOURIST TOWN. - GREAT HOMEMADE PUNK ROCK TUNE.
THE FROTTEURS - SO IT GOES. - DIY PUNK style.
The compilation came out on the private AIRSHIP RECORDS catalogue number AP 417 , a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!
This album also comes with a double sided insert with band's photo's contact information etc...(see pictures), and the condition of the VINYL is EX+ (played once !!!), PICTURE SLEEVE is EX+ , DOUBLE SIDED INSERT is in EX++ condition.
