Description
Original LP release of the sublime Christian album from Chuck and Mary, Dale, Sue, Ken & Friends, Little Child, issued in 1975 by Prince Of Peace (PPR01/NWI 2833). LP and cover are VG++, and original lyric insert is also included. Ken Scott rightfully endorses this album strongly in his Archivist:
“One of the most beautiful folkrock LPs I’ve ever heard, featuring Chuck and Mary Smith, assisted by Dale Trullinger, Sue Trullinger, Ken Sabella, and others. A custom production outta Portland, Oregon with a soft very melodic almost classical feel. Warm male/female harmonies inspired by 2nd Chapter Of Acts, along with creative instrumentation led by piano and acoustic guitar, along with flute, viola, organ, psaltery, chimes, recorder, dobro and soprano sax. Top-notch songwriting quickly works its way into your heart, sometimes bringing to mind the charm of Children Of The Day on impelling ballads like “When The Lord Comes And Touches You”, “Psalm 42” and “Valley Of Weeping”. Others like “If You Catch The Wind”, “Jesus Frees Us” and “The Rain Is Falling” recall the melodic soft rock style of 2nd Chapter or Nutshell. Nice front cover illustration of children peering through a window, while the back includes artful hand-written liner notes and drawings. An absolutely magical album.”
