Description
From a single record collection of an individual who purchased LPs between 1965 and 1975 (roughly), and then passed them on to me. Generally, the jackets in this individual's collection do show wear, but the LPs themselves were not played to death, and I'm only offering the ones that look very playable in the general grade range of VG+ to VG++. Here are details of the 3 Paul Butterfield Blues Band LPs offered here:
Self-Titled, Elektra EKS-7294. First Issued in 1965, this is the 1971 Reissue. Jacket has moderate to heavy corner wear, light edge wear, no splits. Owner neatly inked name on back jacket but no other marks on the jacket. LP stored in original inner sleeve, which is split on all sides. The LP LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE, with a few light scratches on clean vinyl, I'll grade in the VG+ to VG++ range, trending towards VG++.
East-West, Elektra EKS-7294. This appears to be a First Press in 1966, with ....A and ....B matrices, with some additional faint and nearly rubbed additional characters. It does have "Stereo" listed on both sides of the spindle hole, which discogs has identified as an "Allentown" pressing. jacket has moderate to heavy corner and edge wear, split spine at center about 3". No marks, light ring front and back jacket. LP stored in original Elektra inner sleeve, which is split all around. LP also in the VG+ to VG++ range, but closer to VG+ with a few locations with a little light scuffing.
What's Shakin', Elektra EKS 74002, in which they share billing with the Lovin' Spoonful. Also features Tom Rush, Al Kooper, and ERIC CLAPTON AND THE POWERHOUSE. Certainly an interesting lineup! Jacket with light to moderate corner wear, light edge wear, no splits. The previous owner inked his name on back jacket. LP stored in original Elektra inner sleeve, which is split on three sides. ALSO INCLUDES ORIGINAL INSERT with details on the performers on this LP. LP also in the VG+ to VG++ range, closer to VG++ with few very light scratches.
