Description

This is an extremely rare promo copy of LOU REED's "Transformer" LP from 1972. The cover has "Not For Sale: Promotional Use Only" stamped into the top-left of the front cover (visible in the last picture) and includes a very rare 2-sided poster; the 6 frame poster when unfolded is 17" X 33" and has representations of articles from Fusion, Rolling Stone, Sounds, Disc and NME on one side and a picture of Lou performing with a 10 item "My Biography" on the lower left corner of the other side (examples of some of the bio items: played in Long Island hoodlum bands; expelled from ROTC for threatening to shoot officer; left Warhol, realigned band and ultimately realigned self; exile and great pondering;  lawsuits and depression . . .  and a few others. One of the four fold-seams has a two inch split in it but the poster is in otherwise nice condition. The cover is in VG condition: no seam-splits, a bit of back ringwear, a small sticker on the top-right corner of the front that is partially removed, and my initials on the top left of the back, visible in the second picture. The LP itself is shiny but has a few scruff marks; the LP, for the most part, PLAYS mint minus with the first song on the second side coming in at VG+.

Buyer agrees to add $2.98 for Media Mail postage in the US (or $11.50 for Canadian post or $23.75 for international airpost). The LP will go out soon after PayPal payment is received and I will let you know it's on its way. Thanks for looking and please write if you have any questions.
