Labels are in excellent condition with no spindle marks. Record plays flat with no warps. Play grade:VG++ to Mint-   The entire album played very well with no problems. No hiss, clicks or skips. Condition of record cover:VG++   The cover is in excellent condition. There are corner bumps at the right side corners. There are no cuts, holes, tears, writing or seam splits. Nastos at allmusic:  "For even the astute early creative music lover, pianist Lowell Davidson is an obscure figure in the annals of jazz. Recommended to ESP-Disk by Ornette Coleman and signed to record his music without an audition, Davidson was the son of a theologist, studied biochemistry at Harvard, was fatally injured in a lab accident, and died at age 50. This is his only studio session, although ESP claims to have a live date from a Boston engagement in the can. He is accompanied by the stellar, and in this case sublime rhythm section of bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Milford Graves, and the result is a fascinating display of understated, purely improvised music that is eminently listenable, beautifully conceived, and flowing through past, present (circa 1965) and future resources. Of the five tracks — all consistently intriguing and well played — the opener "L" is deliciously exploratory but not dissonant, diffuse and fractured but scarcely scattered. You realize that Peacock and Graves utilize perfectly supportive, keen listening skills during the pensive and introspective "Stately 1." The slight visage of Cecil Taylor, or perhaps the dark brooding style of Mal Waldron crops up during the short cut "Dunce," nonplussed or bright and beautiful. In contrast, a thematic approach launches the lengthy "Ad Hoc" and "Strong Tears," the former a rumbling, rambling then a playful Tayloresque discourse with a bass solo from the always brilliant Peacock, the latter showing evocative restraint, never overplayed, with some calmed drama near the coda. What Lowell Davidson offers, aside from parallels to Paul Bley, is a sensible and free flowing approach to unconventional linear improvisation, and in many ways a lost art. Others like Valdo Williams, Burton Greene and Eric Watson were somehow lost in the shuffle like Lowell Davidson, but thankfully he has been given another chance to be discovered, and to revel in this unearthing of a brilliant musician is to be universally celebrated. All unsealed LP's are thoroughly inspected and cleaned on a Nitty Gritty model 2.5 record cleaning machine. Many are then play graded on a high end turntable; if played it will be mentioned in the description. All come with a new 3 mil poly outer sleeve for protection. All unsealed LP's also are shipped inside a new inner sleeve to avoid edge splits to the original sleeve.

All items shipped in sturdy cardboard mailers with two filler pads added for protection.  For two extra pads, please add $1.00 to shipping.  Insurance coverage is also recommended for domestic shipments. 

Record ships outside of cover to avoid seam splits.

Grading

MINT * Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks. A mint record is uncommon.

M- * Very clean only a few light marks; plays very well.
M- * Album cover - Near perfect with only minor signs of wear. There should be no ring wear.

VG++ * Surface marks, no scratches, should play and look very good with faint, if any, audible surface noise.
VG++ * Album cover - Some minor ring wear, but  should be in good condition overall.  Also, there can be some minor creases in the corners but no splits in seams.

VG+ * The record shows signs of use, but plays well despite quite visible surface marks and possibly some light scratches. This grading is often used for records which have not been cared for perfectly but still play well overall. A few very faint clicks may be allowed, and will be included in the description.
VG+ * Album cover - May have corners that may be slightly bent, but not broken. There may be wear to the seams but no tears or holes.

VG * Still a nice record, looks used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays fairly well. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music.
VG * Album cover - There may be seam splitting, but not complete separation of the sleeve panels from each other. There will be noticeable ring wear on the cover, but the cover should for the most part be in good condition.
