PERCUSSIONI - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by PEYMONT aka DAVID HOYT KIMBALL aka ANTONIO RICCARDO LUCIANI. Original Italian deep groove pressing on PLAYPHONE label (AB 2), from 1971. Still a practically unknown session with some amazing themes by the maestro ;)  Percussioni is yet another elusive Italian Library by this little known composer responsible for some of the best psych lounge / experimental jazz / avant-garde mood music from Italy. Like our Video Music Library currently on auction, this is Luciani under the ever confusing Peymont moniker (released under this pseudonym for contractual reasons). Strange, funky and primeval compositions, recorded at the legendary AYNA studio (Firenze) on an obscure label that would soon change its name to Ayna ;) Expect a peculiar set of drum kit / afro percussion / tympany and electronic based themes exploring some complex aspects of life and the human psyche. Arcane psychedelic mood music featuring the killer DRAMMA SULLA SCOGLIERA theme. Filtered-to-death drum breaks and experimental keyboards with fabulously crude dub electronic FX repeated freestyle over 3 delirious minutes. Sounds like a missing funky theme from Umiliani's Percussioni Ed Effetti Speciali Library on Liuto label but arguably even rarer! Great for DJs. Totally unique and fresh sounding beats :) We have also recorded the mechanical ambience of PARTENZA DEI VOLONTARI (SOLA PERCUSSIONE) with its addictive thuds / gongs and primitive electronic FX / the funky jazz drums and spiritual vibraphone of STATO CONFUSIONALE (with dub echo delays) / the voodoo rhythms of BUONGIORNO AFRICA with afro cuban percussion tympany and shakers plus other odd soundscapes like the primitive drums of ORGASMO with psych organ motifs and NEVROSI DEPRESSIVA with its ancient Mediterranean atmospheres / clave wood blocks and studio treated piano. Music specially recorded for Italian film / radio and television.
