Sitar & Electronics is a wholly idiosyncratic album, very much of its time but still with the ability to charm listeners now. Made by Dutch musician Okko Bekker (a collaborator of Brian Eno's, Conny Plank's and Moebius) using a sitar and a Moog, the album was originally released in 1971. It's a funky and playful collection, conceptually lighter in spirit than a lot of prog albums made around the same time, and its hard not to be won over by sunny moments like 'Ganges Delta' and the mellow 'Shiva's Lullaby'.
