VINYL LP:
THE KINKS "Something Else By The Kinks" (Pye NPL 18193) original UK 1967 MONO first pressing
TOTAL CLASSIC Kinks album in its most desirable format - original UK MONO PYE FIRST PRESSING! Matrix stampers: side A: NMPL18193A-1*M (with a light scratch through the incorrect M). There seems to be a mistake with the matrix numers, and on side two MPL18193B-1*M has been lightly scratched through, and another matrix appears as NMPL18193A-1*M with a light scratch through the (erroneous) "M" - leading me to believe this must be the very first pressing... Books at £200+
CONDITION : (Sleeve/Record) VG-/VG-
DESCRIPTION : Record has obviously been well played and is pretty scuffed up with lots of light scratches and plays with some light background crackle in quieter passages, and the odd pop and click here and there, but like most UK PYE 60s pressings, the music is cut LOUD and the music overpowers most imperfections, and sounds great. There is a light edge lift, but sadly track one on side two has a concentric SCRATCH which causes a few needle jumps. HOWEVER, at least this means when you turn the record over from side one you can skip this track and play from track 2. i.e. it would have been far more annoying if it was in the middle of a side...
Un-laminated flipback sleeve shows edge wear, and some creasing and the odd light stain - spine still fully readable and no edge splits - this sleeve is NOTORIOUSLY hard to find in excellent condition. Labels in excellent condition. A cheap way to own this classic in its original format for collectors who aren't mint freaks!

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremeost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
