Description

Hi there once again eBayers and welcome to my eBay Store!

Here I have a very rare LP, The Mothers of Invention, "We're Only In It For The Money", Australia Only Release with the St Peppers' parody cover

As Discogs notes:
As far as I know Australia was the only territory that had the intended "Sgt. Pepper's" parody art when it was originally released and it was quickly changed. It was not released as a gatefold. It is laminated on one side and has the lyrics printed on the back cover. It was NOT released with an ''only money cut-outs'' insert.
One cover for mono and stereo:
Mono:V-5045
Stereo:V6-5045
Black/silver labels

Track B1, Nasal Retentive Caliope Music, is mis-spelled on label but, spelled correctly as 'Calliope' on cover.
Bottom of back cover states "Made and Distributed in Australia by PHONOGRAM RECORDINGS PTY. LIMITED
Distributors of Philips, Mercury, Fontana, Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft, Polydor, Archiv, Caedmon, Heliodor, Zodiac, MGM, and Verve

Released by Verve in 1968 the Catalogue No is V6-5045.

Tracks:

A1  Are You Hung Up

A2  Who Needs The Peace Corps

A3  Concentration Moon

A4  Mom And Dad

A5  Bow Tie Daddy

A6  Harry, You're A Beast

A7  What's The Ugliest Part Of Your Body?

A8  Absolutely Free

A9  Flower Punk

A10  Hot Poop

B1  Nasal Retentive Caliope Music

B2  Let's Make The Water Turn Black

B3  The Idiot Bastard Son

B4  Lonely Little Girl (Label - back cover title is 'It's His Voice On The Radio")

B5  Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance

B6  What's The Ugliest Part Of Your Body? (Reprise)

B7  Mother People

B8  The Chrome Plated Megaphone Of Destiny

The vinyl is in very good to excellent condition.  I have played the record and there are no skips, jumps or loops.  Crackle is minimal to nonexistent.  The cover is in very good condition, with some very minor corner wear.  The rear has some marks. The previous owner has written his name in pen on the top right corner and for some unknown reason has written "- Do it again" in pen under the lyrics for Track B6.  I always try and rate vinyl conservatively.

Enlarge the photos for the best visual description of condition. Where I have used the flash, this shows detail, no flash is more indicative of colour.

Postage will be Australia Post Parcel Post w/- Signature within Australia.  Overseas will depend upon destination.

Happy bidding!
