On offer is an immense rarity!! an original UK MONO 1968 first pressing of 'Lumpy Gravy by Frank Zappa!!! A brilliant album from Frank Zappas golden age.
Zappa's rarest core catalogue album without a doubt - MONO versions of this album just never turn up anywhere!!!! I have owned this copy from new having purchased it in 1968. It was a rare album back then and hard to find, Zappa was still a marginal artist that most people had not heard of.
Not to be confused with the inferior unlaminated Select stereo reissue of 1972 - this is a genuine 1968 Laminated first press MONO copy with first press Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve in incredible condition - UK EMBOSSED TAX CODES MAKING THIS ONE OF THE FIRST EVER UK PRESSINGS!!!!!! These ultra rare first pressings usually turn up in poor condition stereo versions only. THIS IS PROBABLY YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO OWN AN INCREDIBLY RARE MONO EARLIEST FIRST PRESSING OF THIS BRILLIANT FRANK ZAPPA ALBUM IN THIS OUTSTANDING CONDITION OR ANY CONDITION!!!!!

Sleeve Gloss Laminated first press MONO gatefold sleeve with inner flaps printed by Garrard & Lofthouse in VG Condition. Strong colour, lovely high gloss and perfectly flat. Some noticable creases to spine -Opening edges have slight feathering .All type clear and legible on original wide spine. slight lifting of laminate on top left front and bottom right rear. Some corner rubbing mostly on top and bottom of spine. Colour rich and strong - no fading - Flaps in excellent condition. Overall a very impressive sleeve.

Labels The labels have ' Sold in the UK subject to resale price conditions, see price lists' Printed on both sides and are original UK MONO Verve labels. Earliest first press K T J tax codes are embosed near center hole on side 1. THIS |IS ONE OF THE VERY FIRST UK PRESSINGS EVER!!!!!
Near Mint - light spindle marks only- impossible to find like this!!!!!

Vinyl Visually Near Mint Condition!!! Perfectly flat and still with it's original 'just pressed' sheen -a few very light paper scuffs only. Impossible to find now anywhere as good as this!!!

Sound Surface noise on run ins and run outs and on the last minute on side one - other than that impressive strong clear sound throughout with only occasional light surface noise - not distracting in any way.

Liner Near Mint Condition original plain paper inner liner has a few light creases.

This is much more than a definite must have for any serious Frank Zappa / Mothers collector - only a few lucky collectors in the world will own one of these original Mono versions!!!!!
Impossible find in MONO now.An absolute essential for any completist!!!! Don't hesitate - you will not find another!!!
