Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl stereo record by Luv Machine, their eponymous and only album release. Issued in the UK in 1971 by Polydor, it is a first pressing with the catalogue number 2460-102.
Record Condition - Excellent - At first glance the record might be considered mint and it is exceedingly bright and clean. There are no obvious scratches, although the eagle eyed might just about make out one or two minute surface marks. Having listened all the way through I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, with a little background crackle/hiss noticeable now and then, with the occasional light click also present.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Original sleeve with light wear around the edges, including rubbing along the spine and minor creasing in two or three places. Less bright than when it first emerged from the printers, a few small marks are also present, including residue from a price label. The inner sleeve is somewhat browned and creased. Large pictures of both sides of the disc and sleeve are available on request.
History - This is a rather rare and very collectible record by Luv Machine, an extremely obscure British based but culturally mixed outfit. The band were short-lived casualties of the early-‘70s UK rock scene and while the music is very much of its time, it is more than deserving of its cult status. Luv Machine performed a heavy brand of psych and acid rock with occasional progressive tendencies and funky grooves thrown in to the mix.
