Description

Larry Young on Blue Note 4266

This is the rare original Van Gelder-stamped mono pressing of Larry Young “Contrasts” on the Liberty labels of Blue Note BLP 4266.  The playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated Los Angeles cover is bright and clean throughout; small writing next to song titles on the back slick.  Illustrated inner sleeve is included.  Blue Note issued only 17 mono special promotional copies for radio stations that had not converted to stereo transmission.

Personnel include Tyrone Washington, Herbert Morgan, Eddie Wright, and Edward Gladden.
