Description

I have up for auction a record (78) on a dark maroon and gold DISCO NACIONAL label made in Argentina, probably very late 1920s. It is #18251 by Carlos Gardel, Vocals con Guitarras, Ricardo, Barbieri y Aguilar. Selections are "Duelo Criollo"-Tango and "El Carretero"-Tango. The record is in very good condition on Duelo Criollo side, not a lot of wear and scuffs and scratches are mainly light (some below surface, but ticks not generally overbearing). On Carretero side, downgrade to VG- at best as there are several worn grooves at the beginning creating much surface noise for the intro; and also some imperfect grooves during first half causing some intermittent distortion (also common on same song/other Odeon labels).
