Description
This is a test pressing containing 5 songs of the album released in 1971 by Leaf Hound and titled Growers of Mushrooms. The album was recorded in London and was published on a “boxed” blue/silver Decca label, with catalogue number SKL-R. 5094 (as shown also on the label of this test pressing).
Stock copies contained 9 tracks, while this (I believe made of metal) test pressing only has 5 songs and is one-sided. I am not sure the tracks contained in this test pressing coincide with the final versions released in the stock copies.
Titles are:
-Stray;
-Sad Road (should add “To The Sea”);
-Grower of Mushroom; (should be “Growers of Mushroom”)
-Freelance Friend; (should be “Freelance Fiend”)
-Stagnant Pool;
It comes in a plain black sleeve and I believe it was not originally accompanied by the standard picture sleeve.
The surface looks in very good plus to excellent condition, with superficial traces of handling and play that do not impact significantly on audio quality. It does have some light background noise especially at the beginning, but no ticks, no sticks, no jumps and no skips. Please look at the detailed pictures to check the surface condition.
