THE RECORD - EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT CONDITION.

a stunning piece of glossy vinyl. On first inspection it looks totally unmarked. when you hold it against a really strong light there are a few of the faintest hairlines, but are very faint. A really wonderful example

Album Played For Grading: Yes – brilliant! - NEAR MINT sound quality throughout

- This great record plays up to the high visual grading and beyond . Strong, undistorted sound free of pops or clicks. channels are clean and unstressed. The record plays with staggering power, with a minimum of any surface sound during the tracks.

On initial inspection the vinyl looks superb and I can hardly see a blemish. Only under a very strong light can some light surface marks be seen. Fantastic, Top quality vibrant sound throughout. Supreme audio with nothing to distract form the overly enjoyment of this record and hardly any surface noise between tracks

The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. As is the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear.

A great all round example of this great Zeppelin vinyl

staggering first stereo mix, unlike the re-issues which lack the impact.

THE COVER - EXCELLENT.

this is a pretty nice cover too. there is some very light scuffing to the corners, and some light rubbing along the edges. the opening edge is very square and totally un frayed. the white areas are very white, with just a tiny blemish on the back. the back cover is nice and clean, with only light ring wear, which is very unusual for these delicate covers. the inside is clean and unmarked. the Spine shows minimal wear only, the spine text is totally intact, although a bit rubbed on the very bottom of a couple of the letters. a good solid example. all round, this is a really nice cover

THE LABELS - EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT CONDITION condition. stunning, hardly any spindle traces at all. the 1960's red & maroon colours of the Atlantic label are only on original pressings, they were re-designed to orange and green colours in late 1971.

very early pressed second pressing with the ‘Killing Floor’ song title replacing ‘The Lemon Song’ due to legal reasons although the cover still carried the original song title. this is a first round very Rare Lemon Song press.

a plum LZ II in this type of condition is scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound. any Plum examples with a record in this type of condition, that plays practically perfectly, is very rare. What is certain, any plum copy will blow away the orange and green pressings that followed from 1971. the cover, is almost impossible to find without wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is one of the better examples, and fining a nice cover like this, with a stunning piece of vinyl, fantastic!.

MY RECORD GRADING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS - (BASED ON RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE U.K. )

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
