Description

Hello there, come on in and welcome to the auction!

As you can see from my 100% feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability.  Above all things I am a record collector and music lover.  I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late.  That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!

I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to ebay they go!

(On that note, if you have any early American blues or folk to swap or sell, please get in touch!)

Anyway, enough of the chit chat and on to the record at hand….

Earls Court

Recorded Live at Earls Court, England,

LZL 19775

24th May 1975.

 Stereo

Up for auction is a UK first pressing of Led Zeppelin’s iconic Earls Court live bootleg!

This record is extremely rare now with only a few copies showing up now and again, and always in a played to death state (because it’s great!) but this copy is in near perfect condition!

This is the first press with the laminated printed outer sleeve and smooth yellow labels!

Recorded Live at Earls Court, England,

24th May 1975.

Track B1 is misspelled as "Cashmir" on this version.

On all other releases it is "Kashmir"

To come across a first press Zeppelin record is always a rarity, but in this condition, it’s once in a lifetime!

Matrix Numbers

Matrix / Runout (Side A): LZ 19775-1

Matrix / Runout (Side B): LZ # 19775-2

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st print laminated sleeve is in superb condition!  There are no stains, splits or writing to mention!  All the edges are straight and crisp with only the very mildest shelf wear to corners.  The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release.   The spine is perfectly straight and readable as it should be.  There is a slight nick on the rear bottom edge and the very mildest of ring wear!  Utterly superb and almost new!

Excellent+

Inner Condition.

The 1st press white inner is, equally, in splendid condition, with no writing, stains or tears to mention!  All the edges are nice and sharp and it holds the record perfectly as it should!  Just some mild creasing to mention!!

Label Condition.

The first press yellow labels are in fantastic condition.  There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention.  There is no centre hole damage at all.  Even under a strong light, only one minor invisible spindle lines can be seen!  It’s clear that this record has been played maybe once or twice at most!

Near Mint

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record itself looks beautiful!  It still retains its factory shine and lustre with no scratches or warping at all.  Under a strong halogen bulb not a single hairline can be seen!  It is as new!

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounded great from start to finish.  The sound was sharp and clear with no distortion, jumps or skips at all!  I heard not one single click throughout.  The band was clearly separable by the ear on all frequencies! This is how a first press should be heard! Simply MINT, no other way of putting it!

So there we have it.  Arguably the cleanest and most pristine example of a Super Rare 1st press Led Zeppelin Bootleg I that I have come across!

A Rare Private Press Gem!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Happy Bidding

All my records will be sent first class, signed for and insured to their value!

I will package the records with extreme care, with hard stiffeners and the vinyl separate to the sleeve and inner, all housed in a Defenda lock tab record box envelope.

I try to be as honest as I can in my descriptions, taking as many pictures as possible, but if you don’t feel happy with your purchase, I offer no quibble full refunds as soon as the record is sent back.  I will not give partial refunds however, only full.  I think this is fair, Thanks!
