Zep fan? Then this is for you! You are bidding on a LED ZEPPELIN super rare first LP and is undoubtedly the most sought-after and hard-to find jewel.

Reported only a few hundred was pressed. Impossible to find.

 

1st Press of Led Zeppelin's debut on the rare purple & brown label. This was a transitional pressing as Atlantic was changing to the Red and Green label. Also known in collectors circle as a mispress on the Atlantic records label, catalog number SD 8216.....a true, ORIGINAL stereo pressing from 1969.  Most people don't even realize that this LP came out on the purple and brown Atlantic label, due to it being released just as Atlantic was changing over to it's green and orange label.

 

THIS DEBUT album – easily one of the top-10 greatest and most influential Rock albums ever made. When the album was recorded in late 1968 (released in January 1969), it marked – literally - the beginning of the new era and the new sound: Heavy Metal!

Labels are clean and the spindle area has virtually no wear whatsoever, there are absolutely no traces here that this record has ever been on a deck.
