Description

An original summer 1971 copy of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A5/B4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day gatefold cover. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve date coded to '05-71' ..May 1971. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing heavy or that's likely to cause significant issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one very slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with nigh on perfect clarity. The audio on a nice clean copy like this one is to die for...lovely clean slow-builds and percussive section where you can hear the silence behind the audio! Even 'Bring It On Home' - a notoriously fussy track plays lovely clean. Interference is minimal. All I could detect was a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments, and then one click/pop in the back-half of 'Killing Floor'. But I gotta say it again..this example is way ahead of even most nice looking copies. If you need to get straight to a top-level rendition..do give this copy serious consideration. You will not be left disappointed..
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Nice clean front without creasing - just a touch of ageing on the white section over toward the spine and a some very light handling toward the top. The rear is exhibiting some of the usual handling wear you often find on these copies, and some undulations too - still respectable. The interior looks good with, perhaps, a bit of light fading. There's some edge wear and it has worn through for an inch on the top edge of the right panel. The spine is also exhibiting wear, but most of the text is still more or less legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Vg+) Some ageing at the extremities. No splits or markings though.
